My Breaking Point 🚨

Here’s the raw truth: I hated photos of myself.

We went on a dream trip to Rarotonga — paradise, right? But you won’t find photos of me there. Why? Because I had zero confidence. I couldn’t stand seeing myself in photos.

On the outside, I was busy achieving big things:

  • I’d completed my law degree 🎓

  • Graduated and taken my Legal Professionals course 📚

  • Helped run our family law firm ⚖️

  • Managed our home and family 🏡

But inside? I was exhausted, drained, and hiding behind the busyness. I felt uncomfortable in my skin, like I was trapped in a body that didn’t match the woman I knew I was. Some days I honestly wondered if this was just it now — tired, heavier, and never really feeling confident again after 40.

And here’s what I don’t often admit… I was about to become a lawyer, but I didn’t want to be one of those women who “made it” in her career but had let herself go. I wanted to walk into a courtroom looking sharp and feeling confident — not tugging at clothes that didn’t fit, not worrying people were silently judging me.

I also wanted my kids to be proud of me. Not that they’d ever say they weren’t — but deep down, I carried this fear: What if they’re embarrassed to be seen with me? Those thoughts were never theirs… but they haunted me.

That was my reality. It wasn’t just the extra weight. It was shame, self-doubt, and the crushing belief that maybe this was just how life was going to be after 40.

What Changed Everything ✨

Here’s the thing: it wasn’t one magic pill or overnight transformation.
